Things That I Love in Belize

I know that I have only been to Belize twice but there are already somethings that I really am looking forward to, as I prepare for this ministry.  Here are my Top Ten:

10. English is the national language of Belize ... that means that I can fully communicate and develop    meaningful relationships there  (Judy, no Spanglish!)

9.  Driving on the right side of the road (Marie, I will be safe!)

8.  Arriving at the airport in November, we were greeted by beautiful Caribbean music.  Hope that happens again!

7.  Being awakened by the night sounds and especially the Howler Monkeys as they guard their territories at Jaguar Creek

6.  Seeing flowers that are brilliant and plentiful (and Chris, I do not know the names of them in Belize, either!)

5.  Going to get ice cream at the home of some Mennonite farmers-- yum (Marcia, are you tempted?)  Hope I remember how to get there  :)

4.  Working with dedicated teachers to their schools and communities. Finding creative ways to engage students

3.     Spending time with the sponsored high schoolers and college students who want to make a difference in their communities

2.     Hugging sweet children and sharing stories

AND the Number 1 thing that I am looking forward to is...

Openly sharing my faith in Jesus Christ!  as there is no separation of church and state in Belize.   Yeah, God!
